Welcome to Sistrum: Lansing Women's Chorus, a vibrant community of treble singers dedicated to inclusivity, social justice, and feminist values since 1986! Since our founding Sistrum has strived to be a beacon of inclusivity, embracing individuals from all walks of life, regardless of gender identity or expression. We proudly welcome lesbian, bisexual, heterosexual, queer, and transgender women into our fold.



Our Director.
Meghan Eldred-Woolsey, an advocate for women's choirs and gender equality, directs Sistrum, Lansing Women’s Chorus. With degrees from Michigan State University, she has over 15 years of choir teaching experience at DeWitt High School. Meghan has led choirs at prestigious events and is involved in the Lansing Theatre Community and Mirabai, Michigan’s professional women’s chorus.
